I finally found a physician whose entire practice is house calls, and who accepts my insurance and comes all the way out here to Assfuck Nowhere, Texas. He is coming Friday regarding the UTI I developed in the last few days...
My old PCP was a 45 minute drive away, which means 90 minutes in the car round trip. Getting out of the house, into the car, riding in it over bumps and potholes, getting out, then back in, riding again, always left me in really bad pain for several days after, and utterly exhausted me. It was just too much.
And we won't even discuss how it affected my agoraphobia.
But I will tell you that I missed many an appointment for my three month bloodwork and other tests because I just didn't have the spoons to leave the house. I've paid a LOT of same day cancellation fees. Now that I have this doctor, that will be a thing of the past.
AND he has a phlebotomist on staff who comes out to do the blood draws.
So that's a damn nice thing.
