In one 2016 email, Epstein flatly claimed that Trump “spent hours at my house” with one of his underage victims. Another message warned Trump “knew about the girls.”
These are Epstein’s own words. And they demolish the long-pushed Trump narrative that he barely knew the disgraced financier — or that they had a falling out years before his presidency. The emails suggest Trump was in Epstein’s inner circle for far longer, and far deeper, than previously acknowledged.
Epstein also mocked Trump’s financial disclosures and described him as “borderline insane” in a 2018 exchange with former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers. That same year, journalist Michael Wolff emailed Epstein with the subject line: “Now could be the time.” What that meant remains unclear — but it came just weeks before Trump was elected president.
Republicans, walking a dangerous political tightrope, released the entire trove after months of delay — possibly to drown out the headline-grabbing content already exposed by House Democrats.
One victim referenced in the emails, Virginia Giuffre, died by suicide in April. She had previously denied seeing Trump abuse minors, but Epstein’s own words now contradict that narrative. The GOP quickly unmasked her identity by releasing unredacted emails — a disturbing move that raises serious questions about witness protection and political motivation.
Trump has long claimed ignorance. These emails suggest something closer to complicity. And the question isn’t just what he knew — but why this is only now coming to light.
